In partnership with MTN Irancell MODE has now become live in Iran. Starting with a market test (POC) in February this year with a base of 1 million customers, which will gradually increase to 18 million.
MTNI subscribers can now get an advance airtime service (ACS), when their balance is too low. The credit can be used for all chargeable activities on the MTNI network.
ACS is effectively a cashless micro loan. It allows users to continue accessing mobile phone services even when they have run out of their prepaid airtime, data or sms package and enables a subscriber to continue to stay seamlessly connected.
MTN Irancell is a part of the MTN Group and is the leading provider of data services in Iran. It is one of country’s largest mobile network operators with a subscriber base of 45 million customers.
